Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 2026
Pharmacy Academy is committed to making its online learning Platform accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a minimum standard.
Our Commitment
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this Platform. This means we aim to ensure that:
- Text has sufficient colour contrast against backgrounds
- The Platform can be navigated using a keyboard alone
- Page structure uses appropriate heading hierarchy and landmark regions
- Images and icons have appropriate alternative text where they convey information
- Forms have clearly labelled fields
- Audio content (course introductions) includes a description of the content
- The Platform is responsive and usable on mobile devices
Known Limitations
We are actively working to improve accessibility. Known limitations include:
- Some older PDF downloads may not be fully accessible to screen readers
- The custom audio player may have limited keyboard accessibility in some browsers
- Video content (where present) may not yet have captions
We are working to address these issues. If you encounter an accessibility barrier that prevents you from accessing content, please contact us and we will endeavour to provide the content in an accessible alternative format.
Feedback and Contact
If you experience any accessibility issues on the Platform, please contact us and tell us:
- The page URL or course where you encountered the issue
- The nature of the accessibility barrier
- The assistive technology you are using (if applicable)
We will acknowledge your report within 5 working days and aim to resolve the issue within 20 working days.
Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Technical Information
This Platform is built using Laravel, Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js. We use semantic HTML5 elements. The Platform has not yet been formally audited against WCAG 2.1 AA by a third party. We intend to commission an external accessibility audit as the Platform grows.
